Wednesday Night Adult Classes

The Classes Are As Follows:

6:30 P.M. Classes

  • The book of Revelation is the grand and noble conclusion to the Bible. It captivates our attention, stirs our imagination, and points us to our glorious future destiny. It shows the living relationship between the risen Christ and His Bride, the Church. It also records the final days of this world and reveals the glorious new world yet to come. The book of Revelation gives us hope for the future when God will make “all things new” (Rev.21:5)

*This class is also offered on Thursdays at 10 a.m.

    Leader: Ron Ferguson

  • “BEMA” (or bimah) is a Hebrew word that refers to the elevated platform in the center of first-century synagogues where the people of God read the Text. At that time, the community of God’s people did not gather in buildings that faced a stage with an audience, but rather they allowed their gathering to reflect what they hoped to be true of their lives — it was centered around the Word of God. The BEMA Discipleship program is an attempt to recapture a few of those elements present in the early church.

  • Men’s Bible Study

Our foundation for this class is 2 Peter 1:3-8: “His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness.” Men will be studying together in God’s Word on topics dealing with our personal sanctification. When you apply God’s promises to your life, these promises of God enable you to share His divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires. One of our purposes is to see men grow spiritually. Our mission is to help you become mature and solid in your walk with God.

    Leader: Sam Crilly

  • As you read the book of Acts, you may wonder: are these the same disciples I read about in the gospels? The ones who doubted in Galilee and ran for their lives in Gethsemane? The answer is no. They are different. The Spirit dwells within them. And what God did for them, he longs to do for you. Join us each week as we walk the roads of Acts—the amazing account of God’s active Spirit among His servants and Christ’s Church spreading to the world.

    Leader: Larry Smith

  • This study explores what the Bible teaches concerning Creation, Adam and Eve, and the Flood. Genesis records the foundational events in the history of the world. Jesus Himself was there at the beginning, forming everything according to His purpose. As the Apostle John tells us, “All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made” (John 1:3). Genesis is therefore central to the work of Jesus Christ. Our hope is that by the end of this study you will better understand how the first chapters of Genesis are related to His plan of salvation.

    Leader: Steve Leckrone

  • Anyone who has tried to describe God to someone else, especially an unbeliever, knows that it is easy to find yourself at a loss for words. It seems that this part of our lives, which we claim is central, is often impossible to fully describe. But if you know God, shouldn’t you be able to describe Him? What is He like? How can we put His eternal attributes into words? Join us in this fascinating study of seven attributes of God: His goodness, sovereignty, holiness, wisdom, justice, love, and faithfulness. Readers will see God in a whole new light and discover that our view of God impacts every decision in our lives.

    Leader: Dustin Sandlin

  • Women’s Bible Study

While often overlooked, the book of Jude remains as relevant today as the time it was written. God has commanded His beloved church to do the necessary work of contending for the faith in a world of unbelief, and as we do, He will keep us from falling into the same deception. Discover your God-given identity in a world of deception. In this 7-session study, dive into themes of being called, loved, and kept, and learn how to point others to Jesus in grace and truth. We serve others well when we share the whole gospel with them, not just the parts deemed attractive by our culture.
